Privacy for Echoes of the Oath

2. Scope

This notice applies to Echoes of the Oath on Android, iOS, and the web. The general privacy policy additionally covers the Akando Games website, support, and beta list.

3. Local game data

Progress, settings, statistics, audio and display choices, and unlocked content are stored locally on the device or in the browser. No game account is created and this game state is never sent to Akando Games. Local data can be removed through the game’s reset control, by clearing app or browser data, or by uninstalling the app.

4. Optional usage statistics

The web build sends anonymous usage signals to the Akando Games API. Android reporting is off by default. When the player taps Next level after the first completed level, Tenweave presents a one-time dismissible dialog. Accepting, declining or dismissing it continues into the next level; only explicit acceptance enables reporting. Settings also offers session-only reporting and a separate gameplay-diagnostics choice. Session reporting includes the game, a random server-created session key, start and last-signal times, platform, phone/tablet class, display language, and app version. A foreground heartbeat is sent every 30 seconds and a final report is attempted on backgrounding. Gameplay diagnostics additionally include level loading and its duration, level starts, the first-move milestone, completion or failure, restarts, help used, and aggregate move counts and medal results. These events are batched briefly in memory. No earlier local history is uploaded, and an older session-only consent does not enable gameplay diagnostics. No account, installation, advertising or device ID, device model, location, board contents or individual tile selections are sent. The session key exists only in memory and cannot link visits. IP addresses are processed for transmission and temporary abuse rate limiting, but are not stored with sessions. Raw records are aggregated and deleted after 90 days. Either reporting choice can be withdrawn in Settings; turning off session reporting also turns off gameplay diagnostics. Web reporting respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. See section 4 of the general privacy policy.

5. No advertising

Echoes of the Oath contains no advertising SDK. Akando Games does not create advertising profiles or sell game data. The current web build also contains no payment feature.

6. Planned one-time full unlock

If a one-time full-game unlock is offered in a future mobile release, checkout will be handled by the applicable store billing system. Akando Games does not receive complete payment details. The game processes only the product identifier, purchase status, and the receipt information required to unlock or restore the purchase.

7. Sharing and store reviews

Sharing a result or a store link opens the operating system’s share sheet; you choose the recipient and target app, and only that app then processes the content. The review action opens the applicable store, whose provider processes the subsequent interaction.

8. Support, rights, and changes

If you contact us by email, we process the sender address, content, and technical metadata to handle the request. Subject to the GDPR, rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and consent may be withdrawn at any time. Complaints may be made to the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany. This notice will be updated before providers or advertising, purchase, or data features materially change.
